The Effect of Work Motivation, Job Satisfaction, and Work Environment on Employees Performance With Work Discipline as Mediation in Higher Education

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of motivation, job satisfation and work environment on employee performance, as well as the role of work disipline as intervening variables in improving employee performance at Universidade da Paz (UNPAZ) Timor-Leste. Methods: This study uses quantitative approach and census methods which involved 97 permanent employees at the Universidade da Paz Timor-Leste as respondents. Data collection uses a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. The data was analyzed by partial least squares (PLS). Results: The results showed that work motivation has a significant positive effect on work discipline. Job satisfaction has no significant effect on work discipline. Work environment has a significant positive effect on work discipline. Work discipline has a significant positive effect on employee performance. Work discipline is unable to mediate the relationship between work motivation on employee performance. Work discipline is able to mediate the relationship between satisfaction and work environment on employee performance. Implications: show how the results connect to policy and practice and provide suggestions for follow-up, future studies, or further analysis. Additional materials: questionnaire
